The shade features “Warlon,” a reinforced washi laminated with resin, which retains the elegant texture of washi while providing superior durability, tear resistance, and easy cleaning with a damp cloth. Each frame is handcrafted by skilled artisans in Shizuoka Prefecture using the traditional shiguchi joinery technique—assembling wood without nails or metal fittings. Perfect for placing on tatami, floors, tables, or shelves, it provides a soft glow that creates an elegant Japanese atmosphere. The included incandescent bulb can be replaced with other compatible bulbs, including LED.
